Aquatherm leads the way in on-board Hot and Cold water services systems for Britains, largest Superliner.

Britain's leading cruise line, P&O Cruises, are set to shake up the British cruise industry with the arrival of their revolutionary new superliner, Ventura, as she sets sail on her maiden voyage in April 2008.

The unique properties of Fusiotherm pipe system provides cost effective alternative to heavy, costly steel and copper systems.

Advantages include:-
- Less weight than metal pipes
- Corrosion resitant to aggressive media and sea water
- Low heat loss

Dame Helen Mirren has been deemed regal enough to perform a duty often reserved for Royalty: she is to launch her first ship.

But in a break with tradition, the 62-year-old movie, stage and TV star will not be swinging a bottle of champagne against the hull of the new P&O cruise ship Ventura, which is the largest liner designed exclusively for the British market.

Instead she will name the ship, but then hand the bubbly to a squadron of Royal Marine Commandos, who will abseil down the hull, smashing the champagne as they go.

Dame Helen said last night: "It is the first time I have ever named a ship, let alone one of the size of Ventura."

P&O Cruises managing director Nigel Esdale said: "Dame Helen Mirren embodies glamour, vitality and Britishness, which are all values that will be a feature of Ventura.

Ventura recently had her official keel laying ceremony, in true ship building tradition. P&O Cruises' bold decision to produce Ventura, a ship of vast scale, was driven by increasing popularity for the P&O Cruises brand, helped by the introduction of their new ‘rising sun' logo.

Upon completion, Ventura will be the largest, most innovative cruise ship ever produced for the UK. It is hoped the arrival of Ventura will help to maintain P&O Cruises' leading position in the cruise holiday market.

Ventura will take to the water for the first time at her float out in June 2007 and then, following her delivery to P&O Cruises at the end of March 2008, Ventura will embark on her maiden voyage sometime during April.

P&O Cruises' Ventura will have a maximum passenger capacity of 3100, with guests being able to enjoy 14 public decks. Nearly 900 of Ventura's generously equipped staterooms will feature balconies and P&O Cruises claim Ventura will offer guests the best accommodation of any cruise ship in the UK.

With Ventura's abundance of choice, practical design and flexibility, P&O Cruises' are aiming to create the most family friendly British cruise ship ever. Ventura will offer new concepts in family dining as well as unparalleled play and adventure areas and family swimming pools.

Ventura will feature no less than 8 different restaurants, 5 swimming pools, 3 show lounges and an arcade of 6 boutiques. Ventura will also become home to the largest theatre onboard any British cruise liner.

With Ventura's vast scale and highly innovative and striking design, P&O Cruises are hoping to redefine cruising by offering passengers a most stylish and contemporary cruise holiday experience.
